In Grants to 8 Individual Artists In New York City

The Rema Hort Mann Foundation is pleased to announce the 2013 visual art grant award winners, each of whom will receive a $10,000 unrestricted grant. The recipients are Daniel Bejar, Andrew Brischler, Claudia Cortinez, Gaby Collins-Fernandez, Allison Ginsberg, EJ Hauser, Aliza Nisenbaum and Jennifer Packer.
The visual art grant nomination committee is comprised of notable professors, critics, museum professionals, prominent artists, curators, and former grantees. A separate independent selection committee determines the grantees. The selection committee members this year were Marco Antonini (NurtureArt, Executive Director) Phong Bui (The Brooklyn Rail, Publisher), Josephine Halvorson (Painter, Professor Cooper Union), Susan Hort (Collector) and Laura Phipps (Assistant Curator, Whitney Museum of American Art).
