Help us welcome our 8 newest RHMF Emerging Artist Grantees!

January 31, 2014

For immediate release

The Rema Hort Mann Foundation is proud to announce the 2015 RHMF Los Angeles Emerging Artist Grantees! The eight recipients of the $10,000 unrestricted cash grants are: Lindsay August-Salazar, Neal Bashor, Rafael Esparza, Mariah Garnett, Lauren Halsey, Nancy Lupo, Lauren Mackler, and Christopher Richmond.

To view the portfolios from our grantees and all of our nominee, visit our updated e-gallery!
The selection process for the grant began in August, where we invited over 50 distinguished curators, artists, critics, art historians from the Los Angeles art world, to each nominate three emerging artists for the grant.  From a group of nearly 100 artists, the eight final grantees were chosen through a second, independent review by the selection committee.

We are thrilled to welcome our newest group of grantees to join our vast alumni network that includes artist Dana Schutz, Sarah Sze, Kehinde Wiley, Korakrit Arunanondchai, David Altmejd, Mickalene Thomas, and Virginia Overton, among many others.

This year the Rema Hort Mann Foundation is celebrating 20 years of supporting promising emerging artist and enhancing the emotional support networks for cancer patients in need.
